Clinical and Training Lead

The Clinical and Training Lead will act as a member of Beacon’s Senior Leadership Team. They will provide guidance to support clinical excellence across the charity’s work, and implement internal monitoring processes, as well as leading the development and coordination of a comprehensive CPD and supervision offer that enhances skills and supports personal and professional development across the team.

The Clinical and Training Lead will also lead the development of a commercially available CPD offer, they will provide leadership to Beacon’s team of clinical supervisors and they will act as a member of the safeguarding team.

Adult Counsellors

Beacon are currently recruiting both experienced and newly qualified counsellors to join our expanding organisation.

Salaried adult counsellors within these roles will deliver 1:1 appointments across services including Beacon’s Private Practice and EAP services consisting of 6 sessions brief therapy.

Counselling takes place between 9:00am and 9:00pm and regular set hours will be discussed in line with the demands of the clients. Some evening work will be required. 

We are currently expanding our services and experience delivering group work within a counselling and wellbeing context is
encouraged.

Applicants who are also able to deliver counselling across Children’s & Young Peoples Services are encouraged to apply.

Contract – Permanent
Salary – £24,687 FTE (pro rata dependant on hours) 
Hours – Minimum of 15 client hours per week. 
It is expected that NQC’s will progress within the organisation into Qualified Counsellor positions, further information about progression within Beacon can provided.

Fundraising Lead

Beacon is a well-established and well-respected local charity. We have had an active fundraising function in the past, but due to a change in personnel, this has been inactive for over a year. 
As an organisation we have some exciting ideas and plans, and a great deal of enthusiasm, but require somebody to join our team and take the lead in re-igniting, developing and delivering our fundraising activities. 

We are looking for a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm for Beacon’s cause. You should be someone who relishes a challenge and must be able to build positive relationships with the team, supporters and wider stakeholders. 
You will be working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to provide vital support for the services that Beacon offers to our communities.

Placement and Volunteer Counsellors

Beacon Counselling are looking for enthusiastic volunteer counsellors and student placement counsellors to deliver across services within the organisation.

The role will require you to deliver across our community counselling adult services, including as required, our Stockport Homes service working in partnership with Stockport Homes Group to provide free, effective, high-quality, short-term brief therapy to appropriately assessed adult tenants referred through via a self or supported referral pathway.

Appointments for services are delivered onsite and remotely.

Salary – Voluntary Position  (all reasonable incurred expenses to be reimbursed )  
Hours – minimum of 4 client hours per week (to be built up within a pre-agreed timeframe) 

Remote online work will be required for this role and will form 50% of your delivery. This can be discussed further.

Delivery of face to face appointments will take place onsite at Beacon.

Delivery times may include morning, afternoon or early evening appointments. Days and times will be allocated to meet the demand for the services.

Clinical Supervisor – Adults and/or Children and Young Peoples Services

We require supervision support across the team, for our qualified and placement counsellors who work with adults, qualified and placement counsellors who work with children and young people, and also for our wellbeing workers who work across ages.  If you are able to provide adult counselling supervision, child and young person counselling supervision, or both, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for people who are committed to providing the best service to the people that come to Beacon, and also enjoy supporting colleagues to build their skills and confidence and continue their development as practitioners.

Volunteer Trustee

Could you be a Beacon Trustee?

Beacon’s Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity. As a charity, we need our Board to oversee what we are doing and help us to make sure that we are truly meeting the needs of the people we support. 

 

As a Trustee you will work as part of a team, and will have opportunities to learn new skills, gain insights, and make a valuable contribution to the work that Beacon does. The main requirements are an alignment with our values, and a willingness to question. Skills in HR, law, marketing and fundraising would be a bonus. We would also particularly welcome young people, and people with lived experience of the places we work in and the issues we seek to tackle.
