One to One Counselling for Children and Young People
How We Can Help
Counselling provides children and young people with lifelong tools and coping strategies that they can refer back to when emotional discomfort returns. Our counsellors listen, respect your views, they never judge.
They can help you to:
- deal with low mood or feelings of depression
- deal with feelings of anxiety, helping you worry less about things
- feel more confident and address low self-esteem
- manage strong emotions or anger
- understand yourself and your problems better
Our Children and Young People’s counsellors are all qualified to Diploma level or beyond, have substantial experience and skilled in using a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, allowing for support to be individualised.
We pride ourselves on our robust safeguarding procedures to ensure that every person who accesses our services is protected and kept safe and further conduct a collaborative annual review.

Private Counselling for Children and Young People
There are times when we all need someone to talk to. Young people, like adults, can be badly affected by difficult and stressful situations and you may find it hard to cope.
Private Counselling can be accessed from £45 per session at Beacon House or remote
Counselling can help you to deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable or sad. Counselling can also help you sort out your needs and priorities, and help you to accept things that cannot be changed, enabling you to make decisions and find more effective ways of coping.
Our counsellors listen, respect your views, they never judge.

Counselling can also be accessed in school settings
Most schools have links with counselling services. To find out about counselling options within schools, we recommend contacting your child’s school SENDCO or Pastoral Lead for information. For schools that have no current counselling provision we welcome any enquiries about setting up provision for your pupils.
